Me Sushiiii.. yknow me love ma Sushiiii
Well people my attempt at making Sushi was pretty successful. What you see in the first picture is bed of Sushi rice on a base of dried seaweed paper. On top of that is a mixture of chicken, rice crispies, chilli garlic sauce, avocado, mayo and milk. Lined up in the middle are strips of avocado and green peppers, dotted with some chilli garlic sauce. In the second picture, you see the finished product with dots of wasabi on each slice of the roll. The roll looked beautiful, but unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it.
Lessons for next time:
- Don't use chicken unless you know how to make it extremely tender.
- Rice crispies don't make the rolls crunchy.
- Put the seaweed paper on a sheet of seran wrap before putting the layers of
filling on it. - 1 cup of uncooked rice should make around 3 rolls not 2 (unless you burn a
lot of the rice).
I bet any Japanese reading this post must be saying: "Kichigai! dewa nai Sushi!"Anyway, it tasted good! But I'll also go easy on the chilli garlic sauce next time. I'm very encouraged by the fact that my first time was this good, cause I'm only going to get better!
